The 3M™ Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filtration System helps provide cleaner,better tasting water through reverse osmosis filtration. 3MRO401 offers multi-stage filtration, incorporating separate sediment and chlorine taste & odor filters for excel-lent membrane module protection, a sanitary, encapsulated reverse osmosis membrane, and carbon block post-filter for superior fl ow from a dedicated faucet.
The system is powered by residential line pressure — no electricity required. The system helps conserve water, shutting down when the storage tank is full and turning back on to refill the tank. Replacement filters are easy to change – twist on, twist off, no mess.

If you are a well-equipped person with pluming knowledge and you have modern plumbing installed in your house, you will be able to follow the step-by-step instructions in the manual provided in the box. There are also online YouTube videos that shows you step by step how to install your filter. Installing your filter does require additional tools that are not included with the filter.
3M water filters should be installed in the recommended vertical position. Installing the filters horizontally can result in increased stress on the system and potential damage/failure to your food service equipment and property.
The activated carbon in the cartridge has a large surface area consisting of thousands of small pores that help the cartridge perform its designed functions. These pores trap air within the carbon in the cartridge. When water enters the cartridge, it forces the air out of the pores in the carbon. This makes the water appear cloudy, or discolored, and should decrease over time. Flush the filter-system according to the instructions specified in the product manual or performance data sheet.
